Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children with autism build communication, social, and daily-living skills through individualized, data-driven learning experiences. All treatment plans at Behavioral Services Network are designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Yes. All 50 states — including Indiana, South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, Hawaii, Texas, and New Jersey — require insurance coverage for medically necessary ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis. Ava's Law is Georgia's autism insurance mandate (O.C.G.A. § 33-24-59.10), which requires state-regulated insurance plans to cover ABA therapy for children with autism, up to an annual benefit cap. Georgia Medicaid also covers ABA under EPSDT for eligible children.

Recommended hours are individualized based on your child's assessment. Focused ABA typically ranges from 10–25 hours per week, while comprehensive ABA is usually 25–40 hours per week. Your BCBA will recommend a schedule based on your child's goals, age, and family routine.

We serve children ages 18 months through adolescence. Early intervention (ages 2–6) is our largest service area because research consistently shows the strongest outcomes when ABA begins early.

In-home ABA delivers therapy where your child lives and learns, allowing skills to generalize naturally to family routines. Community-based ABA extends that work into the real world — parks, libraries, grocery stores, and other everyday environments — so your child can practice new skills with peers and neighbors in the places they already spend time. Many families combine both, and we offer them together across our network.

Yes. Insurance-funded ABA therapy requires a formal autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis from a qualified provider — typically a developmental pediatrician, psychologist, or psychiatrist. Yes. Every treatment plan is written and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and direct therapy is delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) trained and supervised under BACB standards. You can verify any BCBA's certification at bacb.com.
