Do I need a formal autism diagnosis before starting ABA in Fort Collins?
It depends on your insurance. Health First Colorado (Medicaid) does not require an autism diagnosis: a documented developmental or behavioral condition, such as developmental delay, plus a referral from your child's doctor can be enough, and children under 3 can qualify if they are at risk for delay. Commercial plans such as Anthem and Aetna generally require an autism diagnosis from a qualified provider. How ABA works without a diagnosis.
